James Anderson is a young (28 year old) Albertan committed to restoring public faith and trust in our provincial government. As the Interim Leader of the Green Party of Alberta (GPA), she was officially appointed by the GPA Executive Council (EC) on 22 November 2025. Over time, she has displayed her dedication to the Party by consistently volunteering for multiple Committees. She currently resides within the riding of Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville (62).

James Anderson has always had an interest in government policy and has concerned themself with how it should be wielded for the benefit of all Albertans. At a young age, she has made it her life mission to always lead with Integrity, Courage, Excellence, and Inclusion.

As a young transgender adult, she is conscious of the current challenges that young and/or 2SLGTBQI+ Albertans face. Which is why she will continuously promote policy and provide support for said groups.

Before she entered provincial politics, she has been employed for 7 years as an Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) researcher and a reservist with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). In addition, she has previously worked for Family and Community Support Services (FCSS).

As a teenager, she served on the GPA Young Greens Council, and her mother ran as a candidate in the Alberta election of 2015. It was during this time that members of the GPA showed her genuine respect and care for the politics she had demonstrated at a young age, and it left a lasting impression that has inspired her to support the GPA ever since.
