Volunteer Financial Auditors Appointment
As per legislation, all political parties must now be registered societies in Alberta. The GPA is now officially the "Alberta Green Principles Society," and we are acting under the Elections Act as the "Green Party of Alberta." To stay compliant, societies must audit their books each year, and the Auditors are appointed at the AGM for the next year's financials.
We need two members to volunteer to be auditors for our 2026 financials. You will be appointed at this August 1st AGM and meet in early 2027 (most likely March) with the CFO and President to Audit the 2026 financials. You will sign a form indicating you approve the financials and that you are independent from any of the current Executive Council (Board) members.
If you wish to volunteer as an auditor, please email [email protected].
